Carleen Implicito LAc, Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM)
Carleen Implicito is a licensed acupuncturist with national board certification from the NCCAOM. She holds licenses in both New Jersey and New York. Carleen earned her graduate degree in acupuncture from the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, New Jersey.
Carleen’s approach to acupuncture encompasses not only the treatment of ailments and injuries but also the enhancement of immunity, recuperative power, and mental and emotional balance. She recognizes the importance of addressing both the root causes and symptoms of disease to promote health and prevent future imbalances.
Carleen is passionate about educating and empowering her patients to take control of their health. She believes that patient knowledge and understanding are crucial components of overall well-being. With an undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Purdue University, Carleen has extensive experience working with athletic injuries and specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine, and musculoskeletal injuries. Her background in anatomy and physiology allows her to effectively bridge the gap between Eastern and Western medical treatments.
Carleen has been practicing acupuncture for nearly ten years and is a Certified Functional Nutrition Informed Professional. She has successfully helped patients address a wide range of health and energy challenges. She opened Elite Acupuncture in 2016, worked at The Graf Center for Integrative Medicine in Englewood Hospital from 2017 to 2024, and currently sees patients in Maywood.
Carleen grew up in New Jersey, where she currently resides with her husband and dog. She enjoys an active lifestyle that includes skiing, rock climbing, yoga, meditation, hiking, running, and golf. She also loves nature photography and reading.
